Hey there! I’m Poppy—welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m a passionate product photographer and a final-year university student, set to graduate in July 2025! A few fun facts about me: I’m obsessed with the word ‘fab’ and using exclamation marks! I carry around a three-litre flask of Yorkshire tea most days, and I have a cat named Rolo - whom I named after the chocolate in 2012 (the obsession with chocolate is still very real).

At 21, deciding what to do for the rest of your life can feel daunting, but photography has always been my passion. I’m incredibly grateful to be turning that passion into my career and I’m enjoying the process of becoming. I first picked up a camera at age 12 on a trip to London—like a classic tourist, I took photos of absolutely everything. That love for photography led me to study it at GCSE, A-Level, and now as part of my undergraduate degree. Last year, I discovered my love for product photography after realizing that my eye for small details (and my dislike for studio portraiture) made it the perfect fit. Since then, my passion has only grown!

This blog is where I’ll be sharing an inside look at my life as a final-year university student who also happens to be an introverted commuter—not exactly the typical uni life you see online. I’ll also be giving you behind-the-scenes glimpses of my shoots, sharing techniques, and passing along the most valuable lessons I’ve learned—whether through my own experiences or from other photographers in the industry.
